Small hunt yesterday....small score

Stopped by a couple banks to check for halves after work..
Bank 1: $3.50 = 1-1968
Bank 2: $7.00 = skunk
Banks 3&4: No halves.

It's amazing to me how much better luck I have with loose halves than I do with CWRs.

Grabbed a box of pennies at the last bank just to have something to do - got 14 wheats (oldest 1929), and a 2001 Bermuda "hog" One Cent (that's a new one for me!).

I love those loose halves also. I checked several banks on Thurs. too and I also scored one 40% half ('69) from one bank that I think had $2 or $2.50 in loose halves. It often seems that the smaller the search the better chance I have of finding something. I've only found 7 x 40%er's and 1 x '64 Ken so far this month and I've found them all in loose halves from at least 4 different banks. The '64 Ken I got just over a week ago from a bank and that was the only half they had. Then a few days or so later I got $100 in cwr halves from this same bank and I got skunked with someones dump - not surprisingly.
