good morning, this is a small mercury mine that I backed a Mexican miner with. The deposit is below that knoll, yet lightening consistantly hits the deposit, not the knoll? In one strike it killed over 50 goats.

The ore was in the form of walnut sized pebbles with cinnabar coating the outside, perfect retorting ore.

My friend built three large retorts. Our best retort manager was a local gal. She worked for a year, then we shut down because of the low price for the Mercury. It is Not worked out. We have never re-opened it. It is now many years since working there, she still has no adverse symtoms, in fact she is quite normal in every way and has normal children. Yes I have been monitoring her, I feel that I have a responsibility to her. With normal care the danger of mercury is apparently vastly over played.

The oven is where I had the incident with the huge piggy.

Thanks for the pics Don Jose, keep em coming. Jimmygoat

How long closed. Great pics and thanx much. Up here in Northern calif we have the Altoona Mine-biggest producer in state and mercury oozes out of the rocks on a hot day and crush extremely easily. Funny fact is the calif coastal range is mercury heaven and NOT the motherlode. Mother nature has concentrated massive deposits but of coarse here in environutz kalif it'll be a cold day in LL before anyone could develope. Are prices back up enough to reopen in Mexico???Thanx for the pix again-John

Don Jose, Those are some great pics. You post some good info, Thanks,

Very nice..,

I) myself have found one hand sized cinnabar quartzite here in North Georgia in the United states..
I put true cinnabar because it is rare.. and also dangers.

I reconized it by it's reddish color crystalized and minteralied with metals and mica... And the red.. Ohh..>

I for one know of only one non medical way of removing mercury from the body... : Diatomaceous Earth( food grade ONLY)
DE ( or DIatomaceous earth) is TOXIC unless it is food grade. Then, it can be taken in small amounts to remove worms, heavy metals, and colon sludge from the body.. But beware, the effects of taking food grade diomtomaceous earth can be adverse...
