Well Monday I went hunting with Cliff and the water was a little rough for me because of my back trouble, so I stayed about ankle deep to the wet sand and I was trying out my old sword excel with the 8" coil, well I got this nice sweet sound we all look for, well I dug down about two foot cliff thought I was digging to china, and finely got it went up on the dry sand and started looking and looking for what ever it was, well I got this little tiny square piece of gold and cliff said it might be gold go and check it, Yup it is 22k I started at 10 k and worked up to 22k and the line stayed their, man that sword model is really something. Harold, congratulations on finding that gold so deep down; I enjoyed reading your post.

Is it part of an earring...or is no clue as to where /on what it belonged?

You're on a roll now, Harold...stay on it!:headbang:

I think the older Excal's are deeper than the Excal II. Nice find.

yes I think so too, I was digging a lot deeper than my 1000 old blue, with the 10" coil, cause cliff said man your digging deep.

Nice find. What part of Florida?

on the Gulf side.

22k is a score! Awesome find.

Nice catch there Harold! Love the color of that 22k!!...

Some gold is better than no gold ... WTG H!
