Swept through a very small yard and found a couple of goodies.......... 3 wheats and..........

1906 IHP and (according to my research......any and all help with ID would be appreciated) an 1860 US Army Civil War Button...........

Chizzy, I retired with 33yrs in Maint. of. Way, First with SP, then UPRR. And I did live in Phila. in the early 70's. The button, looks to be an older style, as far as a back mark, I don't think there is much to lose, so I'm thinking of a soak in lemon juice perhaps? Others could weigh in on that. A back mark could help give a rough time date. Always enjoy finding any kind of military button.

Both. Steel gangs, Tie gangs, Surface, Crossing, Switch, Tunnel & New Construction & whatever else system wide. I AM glad it's over. I really like this retirement stuff. Way more time to "Detect"!
