I found this in a field bordering a large stream where I've always found arrowheads, it's some kind of ceramic with a brown glaze over the whole thing. If you can see in the photos the piece is glazed inside as well, also, the "stem" end that looks broken off is glazed, so it must have been made that way. Anyone have any ideas ??? there are many old middle eastern oil lamps from the 1000 ad era that look somewhat like that ..they uses fat drippings or suet for fuel and lit them on fire to use a night lamps ...I think that you might have a very old native American type version of it ...way cool --not matter which one it is --home made pipe or oil lamp....
