Its been a few years since ive been to my great, great grandpa’s house, but the last few times were pretty good with a large cent and some silver dimes. My family doesnt own the house but the current owners are pretty cool with letting me metal detect. I just got a manticore so i figured id give the place a revisit and boy did i find some winners in the three hours that i was there. Initially i really disliked this machine due to the iron falsing in heavy iron sites, but its growing on me. The house is on a prestigious corner in my town and many historical families have lived on the property since the founding of our town in 1640. My GG Grandpa lived in the house somewhere around the turn of the century. A quality assortment of non ferrous targets included a super deep old spoon bowl, half of what seems to be a woman's makeup compact, a couple buckles of extremely different sizes, a large and small presumably musket balls, utensil handle, broken bit of a broach, broken skeleton key, almost $3 in clad, two large cents, i believe they are KG1, KG2 farthing and then some kind of KG half farthing and an indian head penny. Also the bycatch of a bit of pipe stem and several really cool bits of china. Whats that lady looking at anyway? Haha. Kinda bummed about no silver but i cant be upset at 5 super old coppers! It was a good three hours! Thanks for lookin and Happy Hunting!

I'd be super happy with all those LC's. Great stuff.

Congrats on the great finds ! :hello2:
Looks like a Woods Hibernia (look at the Harp) and two US Large Cents from here.
Good call. I got it confused with the smaller harp on the kg1’s Hibernia. The front is pretty wiped so im not exactly sure what king is was, 2 or 3.

That’s really cool to dig on an ancestors property.
My GG Grandfathers house is close to me, I’ll have to door knock, very tiny yard though

Looks like you had a pretty good yard there! Congrats! What did you hunt with the last time the V3i?

Thanks man! MXT with detech ultimate 13” coil. It has done really good for me. Had to get the detech coil to make a difference though.
