Sure, weather is bad in the US. Doesn't mean you can't still hunt. For the first time, I purchased a few coin rolls. Yea, I should post on coin roll hunting, but this is not necessary. I bought 3 rolls of Indians and found a 1873 open 3.? No big deal until I looked closer. Not only is it an open "3", but a DDO! United States of America is obviously double stamped!
Then I opened a paper roll of recent cents. To my surprise, an obvious 1962 D, DDO date appears. Normally I would think my sight is bad, but no. They are raw and authentic.
Question; shall I have them graded? I'm not a PCGS or NGC member. Membership obviously costs. Bout $200. Are my two coins worth grading or common?
Thanks, CincyKid

Check into the IH for sure, hold off on the memorial until you research more on DD varieties...

Thanks BWD! The Indian is stunning! I have searched. Many 1873 doubled "Liberty" exist, in varying conditions. Yet, I have not even heard of a DD USA. Each letter in United States of America is DD.
My problem is that's its sooooo hard to find a reputable coin dealer for evaluation. Sure, they all buy my bullion, but they also give me low ball offers on raw coins? Might be time for me to purchase PCGS membership.
Thanks again. Peace
