Hello everyone,
I have been showcasing my "one hour in a park" threads, mostly on thursdays, after work, when "the man" lets me go detect
To my horror today, I peered out my window to see SNOW! Horrible, horrible snow
My heart sank. I thought it may all be over till spring... Then I checked The Weather Channel...
This Detecting session was thanks to The Weather Channel, I found out that the weather today was warming up a bit, and was above freezing. I headed out at about 11 or 11:30. I hit the park that I found the 14k band and the Sterling earring. I thanked the park for the recent finds, and asked that I find some more gold or silver (it always helps to be polite
I found a LOT of cool stuff, from a Cinderella pin/button, a dog license, 2 cool tokens, one with a sneaky jester, and a car wash token. It was getting late, and I was getting HUNGRY, so I decided on 2 more holes, and that was it (give or take about 5 holes, we have ALL been there before) I ended up pulling out ANOTHER heart pendant, the last run I had in this same park, I had 2. I saw the sparkley gems and thought, "oh come on, can this possibly be silver?" I turned it over, and wiped off a spot, and immediately saw the " 925, I just went nuts! I literally said "NO WAY" out loud. I thanked the park for the latest find, and then checked a couple more holes. After that, I decided to head home for the day. I had some more things to do, and I knew the forecast called for even warmer temps on Sun. So...It was another great day, and I have offically named this as my favorite new park, it has yielded me a gold bracelet, a silver earring, and a silver pendant, along with lots of other fun stuff. Who'd of thought I would be detecting on December 17th!!!!! I am happy.
