Hi. I live in Canada during the warm months and then Key West during the not so warm ones. So I spend several weeks a year travelling North and South like a snowbird. I am a jewelry designe/maker and lapsmith so I am always on the lookout for great rocks to cut, polish and set. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions on where I could stop along the way (not far from Highways 81, Route 66 or I95) and pick up some rough, slabs or cabs. I am particularly interested in regional rocks that I might not find in Canada. Thanks so much for allowing me to ask.
