Snowy backyard birds today

I just took these pics out my back door window. I think I have 3 different kinds of woodpeckers visiting the suet block. I know one is the hairy, another is the downy and the big dude is I think, the flicker. The small grey birds are what we call "snowbirds" 'aka' dark-eyed junco's. I can't believe the woodpecker let that junco share the same plate of suet We have 8 inches of snow on the ground and it's still snowing..........NGE P.S. I have more, but forgot to resize.

It's been a hard winter for birds this year, hope everyone is giving them a little help.

Nice pics, that's one good thing about the snow, it really brings the birds inot the feeders. And they seem more intent on eating than fighting each other off. And your big dude is a dudette, a Red-Bellied WP. Some folks call them ladderbacks.really fun to watch.

Hello,nge, Nice pics. we have got a lot of them out here. She keeps the feeders full and has a suet cake out there. Our
cat likes to sit on the back of the couch and watch them. He gets all excited wanting to chase them with his tail just
snapping back and forth. lol. We got a part of that same storm you did, And it's a wet heavy snow.

Hey NGE, looks like they all get along pretty good.

I have a danged old mockingbird that perches atop the feeder and won't let any one else feed. He doesn't even eat any of the seeds, just Bogarts the area. Too bad it is the state bird.

Flicker it is. I have been facinated with birds all of my life. Those downeys are pretty common but the flickers not too common. Nice pics and WTG on helping them survive this tough winter

I've been trying to get birds to feed at my house so Lisa and I can watch them, and I only succeeded in feeding a cat - with birds! LMAO
