Snuff Tin??

I'm sure somebody can tell me what this is. I'm thinking its some kind of snuff tin.....but not sure?? Thanks in advance.

That's what it looks like to me too. I can't seem to find one on line that looks exactly like this one though.

Are there any markings on it (letter, words, images)?
What is its size?

Its small, it easily fits inside the palm of my hand. It looks like it opens, but I'm afraid I'll damage it if I try. The only visible marking is a Z or an N on the top between the two sides of the handle. It has no visible hole where a chalk line marker would come out. I guess a hole could be under where the handle is now.....cant move the handle either though and don't want to break it.

It was found in the woods where an old logging town used to be.

That looks a lot like it......I believe you solved the mystery.....lol. Not what I expected, but funny none the less. May be off a 1928-1931 Ford.
