I'm in San Diego and I guess I now qualify as an old-timer. But our beaches have been so sanded in this winter, I haven' t gone out much.

I'm in N. County, Cardiff. Been using a CZ20 for the beach, but I recently got a minelab soveriegn, haven't found much yet except for a lot of lead fishing weights.
