Hit the beach today and the bottom was rolling, clad was everywhere in the water, but sadly no gold. I was able to snag a junk ring with 3 pretty stones going around the band. I also was shocked when I got home and was looking over my mound of pennies to find a 1950 wheatie. All of this was dug in the waterI took some some hits out there today. All together it was $3.62 in clad, the ring, wheatie, and a mexican coin. The sun glasses were in great shape too, just not my style.

yeah it was a lot of scooping, my back was killing me and just kept trucking along hoping for that gold until I could go no more.

That just means theres that much more gold left to be found next time! Looks like you had fun either way, and there have been several hunts I would have been thrilled to get any ring at all :)
