All Treasure Hunting
Two of 'em are costume but, still! LOL

I do seem to be on some sort of a roll, don't I. LOL

The one ring taught me something about my AT-Pro too. I had wondered just how deep it was picking up things in highly mineralized ground. This area was ground tuning at about 87! Pretty high I'd say! :)

Anyway, I got a fairly stable/repeatable 79/80 and figured a penny. A deep one because it said it was pretty deep.
I pulled the deep plug and scooped out dirt twice before I got down to where I could see the target. (sometimes I sort of play with my digs. Kind of do an archeological type dig. So, I can see how the target was lying in the hole when the detector made contact).

What I saw first was this:

Could just see the top of the ring, it was laying flat in the hole, and:

Almost a full 8-9 inches! I guess I got my answer. I think that is pretty impressive in this ground!
HEARTRING4.webp

Here's the rest:

It says "The Franklin Institute"

Pretty nice day, even if I do say so my own self! LOL

Thanks for peeking!

Nice finds and always love your play by play descriptions WHADIFIND.

WHDIFIND - let me start by saying nice finds! I'm not sure that the item engraved the Franklin Institute is a ring... It kind of looks like a thumb pick like what would be used on a banjo. Interesting though - the Franklin Institute goes back to 1824 in Philadelphia. It's a science museum. I'd like to see what everyone else thinks... HH!

Thumb pick, shmumpick. It's metal and in a circle to be worn on a digit. It might be a ring used to play a banjo, but it's a ring in any case. LOL

That's my story and I'm shtickin' to it! :)

Why you wanna rain on my tri-tri-fecta parade? LOL ;) Anyone else get 3 rings? 3 days in a row? HA ha LOL :)

1824 huh. Wow! Didn't think it was that old!! :)

Thanks!
HH!

Grats on finding three rings in one day :occasion14: Generally I am quite happy about just getting a single good one :treasurechest:

As am I. I consider myself quite blessed! I've been on a roll for a bit.
If I get just one good find a day I am a happy camper. I know too well the "other side of the coin". :)

It was just extra special, finding 3 rings, three times out. LOL

Thanks!

I call it a bunch of great hunts !!! Congrats

Oh, that's fine. I get the same way when I'm forced to stay home. I just GOTTA go try to uncover a treasure now and again.

All's good!

OMG, I hate that general grumpy attitude I get when I, 1) haven't hunted for awhile 2) haven't found anything interesting or valuable.

I've really on the verge now. Good thing the weekend is coming. :occasion14:

Haha in the NHL a "natural" hat trick is when the same player scores three consecutive goals for their team in the same game.

As opposed to a standard hat trick, which is 3 nonconsecutive goals by one player in one game, and a Gordie Howe hat trick, which is a goal, an assist, and a fight by the same player in one game.

Natural hat tricks are far harder to attain than standard and Gordies :D
