Hard to Say Here , All I know is it will probably get dark like the Last One, But not long enough for the Spooks to Get anyone,
and my cars headlights work :coffee2:

Forecast keeps changing, but that's what they say about the weather here; if you don't like it, stick around--it'll change!

The owners of my permission have the day off (businesses closed due to totality), so they're having an eclipse party. Missus is making totality cupcakes, and I've been invited to bring my detector, so I plan on making the best of it either way! 😁

On Monday April 8, 2024 3:25PM Eastern Eclipse totality will occur. We will see the totality twilight and possibly see a few stars from this North facing camera.

Going to a friends place for a small gathering.
Forecast is for high Cirrus cloud cover.
I do know that I'm taking the detector to try to recover her wedding ring in a pile of Goat $hit they mucked out of the barn. There's no in the mouth cleaning going to happening for this recovery. :tongue3:

We cut the lawn yesterday and have positioned the hammock so my wife and I can lay in it to watch the eclipse. We are in the 100% totality zone.

The county officials have stated they expect a large influx of folks to watch. That may be noticeable in town. We will not notice out in the country where we are.

That... thankfully... would not even have occurred to me!

Wish I could swap today's weather for tomorrow's...
It's gorgeous. Gotta get out there... 🤠

One of our area schools is going to have indoor recess. They are worried that grade schoolers may stare at the darkened sun and damage their eyes.
I was going to say there will be an Uptick in optometrist appointments Tuesday :coffee2:

I remember going to school during an eclipse, mid-later 1960s.
"Don't look at the sun"
Ment don't look at the sun-period, end of the debate.
If one did we probably we would get a good smack.
Respect the elders was not an option.

On the wrong end of the country here...might see a little slice, but that's about it. Doubt I'll even see that as it's gonna be raining.......again.

Actually, looking during totality is OK, just not before or after.

Cut loose like a deuce, another runner in the night
Blinded by the light
Mama always told me not to look into the eyes of the sun
Woah, penumbra , that's where the fun is, oh yeah....

Now, I have to go warm up the Learjet for my trip to Nova Scotia :D

We are out of the totality zone, so there will be a dangerous, visible partial corona here.

For those of you looking forward to the eclipse, don’t look at the sun. Like this guy.

From another location in case of Clouds

🌎 LIVE: Niagara Falls Countdown to the Total Solar Eclipse

I am on the 20/30 per cent line in northeastern Oregon. We had our total in 2017! Also, tomorrow during the eclipse it is supposed to be cloudy here.
