Soda Bottles

Thanks for the information on the Mountain Dew bottles. I was thinking about taking a ride back to the dump where I found the NEHI and London Dry bottles

You’re welcome. Let me know what you end up finding!

Old bottles ? Well yes I do.. lol This is less than half of them. Mainly embossed "Hobbleskirt" Cokes made prior to the 1960s. As many probably know they had the city & state of the bottling plant molded into the bottom. I have around 400 all different and many many doubles. Also have a small collection of pre-1915 "straight side" Coke bottles. Here a tip for those. If it says Coca Cola in the traditional script style of writing it had Coke in it. If it's got Coca Cola bottling co. in block letters it was something else they sold. Soda water, other flavors, etc.

Holy soda bottles! Lol. I’m jealous of your collection. By chance do you have an old Coke bottle with “Gloucester,Va” on it?

lol.. Nobody uses the books anymore since the invention of Google but I play with hotrods and old cars and still prefer hard copies.

I have a collection of Haynes myself. Every time I see one for sale at a yard sale or somewhere I buy it.

Sorry I don't. According to the Coke bottle bible by Bill Porter they're fairly rare
I live in the town. We find them in pits. If I find one in really good shape I’ll be happy to send it your way.

Oh I
d rather look at printed media than the shite online. Fumbling phone, greasy hands, screen going dark, no service.
We are not going forward in this world in some ways.
Look under a hood of todays vehicles-:dontknow::icon_scratch: it's enough to drive a grown man to drink.
There was a term back in the day-crawl under the hood........:headbang:

Little off topic-right sodas
Mine just are a tad earlier than the machine made.

Feel free to share car topics as well! I miss being able to literally get in an engine bay and work on the engine.

That’s awesome! You have a good collection going. Any bottle that stands out from the others? Like name or one older than the others?
This old whiskey was a good find he sold it and bought a new metal detector. One hobby paying for another

I love gasser projects and cars. It’s safe to assume you’re a roadkill fan?
