Greetings All,
I think this would be a Bridle piece.
about 2.25" with what appear to be holes on the back for a strap to slide through.
can Anyone confirm & date this Item? Thanks for looking

Re: My First Bridle Piece?

Yes, I agree bridle rosette :icon_thumright:

Rather than strap slide it would have been a fixed mounting.

Sorry not my item and forgot to post the reference link:

Notice the size of this rosette is the same as yours.

I've only found one rosette and it's smaller, but also has the lead filled back

rosette from book.webpHi! I'm new to Treasurenet but I saw this message and recognized this rosette from a reference book I have on bridle rosettes. This rosette is of stacked wheat and rake. It was made of chromed brass and had a short loop and post on the back at one time. It probably had the inscription Pat. Mark 11.90 (L.D. Stone & Co., No.2002 in silver plate.). Great find!
