I like the Somalia Elephant bullion coins but don't the funds made from them go towards the severely corrupt Somali government? I don't want to spend any money on them if they do, but since they are made in Germany at the Bavarian Mint I wasn't totally sure. To clarify my concern, they are tied with North Korea as the most corrupt nation in the world for the second year in a row.

So then, why buy them? Just because they look cool? :icon_scratch:

Honestly, I think they make an interesting investment opportunity. They are priced close to spot. They are attractive. They are issued by an "interesting" country. Now, I am not sure which government is issuing these coins, but it is certainly interesting. Certainly better than most 1oz rounds.

If the government is corrupt, as egeorge1 claimed, who's to say what the purity is.
