Did some research before I went so I kinda had an idea what to look for any bit of extra knowledge is good when it's 12 degrees and snowing and your digging around abounded gold mines ha. So I was staying South Park with my daughters uncle who is only 18 ha yea I'm only 25 so it's not a big difference he is like my brother. But he tools me the place is litterd with gold mines and so I was so pumped when I got there and saw the the like 6 mile road up to alma along the river not sure the name but it's was so unreal and majestic couldn't believe my eyes. So we went on an amazing hike to the old abandoned gold and silver mine called magnolia mill. It was so cool It wa just me and Zak and I swear you can almost imagine what it was like back then and it was ll snowy ha like the movies ha. But yea so I was straight up on the ground hunting like a dog around and up and down the whole place for 4 hours the first day and 6 the next and I still didn't want to leave. Hahah here is just a few of what I got and so far I know that there is a bunch of gold sulfide ore in area like cal variate and sliver etc so please if you have indoor for me and somthing looks worth getting checked out please let me know cause it all looks good to me haha. And by the way the first few pics are of this like almost cube and what looks like a black thing filled with holes of gold and it is so heavy it is size of a apple but feels like it could way 5 pounds not sure if it is some type of rosted ore? Let me know what you guys think. Aloha

thanks man and yea I couldn't find a coin so just did with what I always have hah my big toe hah. Maybe you can help with this. There were these little nuggets all around the mine and now that I have had some time to do some research on how they would roast ore to get the gold I was like hmm I have a lot of these that look toasted but they have a beautiful yellow like bulbs and chunks still on them. So I busted out gold test kit and and did scratch test and all acids from 10k to 18 didn't affect scratch whatsoever it might have even gotten more bright ha. You think this is chunks of the rosted ore with gold showing? Magnolia mill mine was a very rich gold and silver mine so I know there is a possiblilty

wow good looking stuff, crush it and see what seperates!

Here is an update after cleaning and breaking the big 15 pound quartz vein open i pretty sure I have finally found gold and a lot of it. The first couple photos are of a huge chunk the size of my arm and prob 15 pounds pic number 8 is of the other side I'm guessing crystalline gold but not for sure. I did 18 k gold test on all of these and all passed so I'm guessing it's a higher karate ? My qes is I don't want to crush these and I know the huge quartz might be filled with gold cause it' seems to be coming out from every on it what steps do I take to get that amount of specimens assayed and or etched with hydro fluric acid to reveal the whole crystalline structure without breaking it. ? Any help would be so awesome.

Visible gold in the source rock is often worth more in its original form vs. crushed and reduced to commodity value. Stop and take your samples to a rock and mineral shop or to a prospector club meeting to get expert eyes on them. Good luck!

PS Gold. Prospectors of the Rockies meeting is Wednesday evening. Could take samples to Clear Creek Prospecting Supply on 70th just west of Broadway any time too. They'd be happy to help!
