Actually I am sure it is silver. Its stamped ITALY .925 but... it has some silver flaking off of it as you can see in the pic, not sure what that is all about...
All in all i am happy with the find.

Flaking off is usually a sign that it was plated. Nottingham say its a fake but keep in mind that plenty of stuff is marked as 925 or some carat of gold but that doesn't always mean it is.

The flaking might be palladium which is plated on to make it shine even more.
