Blue in color .Mouth is about 2 1/4 inches wide . There are no mold marks the bottom looks strange like blown there are some air bubbles . There is also a design in the glass almost looks like the Fenton coin dot design with out the white in it .

Considering that it has a pontil scar on the base, which is indicative of a bottle being made before the 1860's. Then again, it does look a lot like many modern decorative vases I have seen, and many of the higher end ones are hand blown with a pontil, leaving a pontil scar on the base like yours. Not good enough with hand blown bottles to know if it is old or new. Nice bottle either way!

I noticed this was your very first post - so, Welcome Aboard Missydb! You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forums: Select Your Area.... and selecting location information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country). You might also consider adding your state (or country) to your displayed profile (SETTINGS -> EDIT PROFILE) so if you ask a question, etc. - people may have more success helping you (your location may help, etc.)...

i think it's a quart size flask bottle from the early to mid 1800's. It has the same sorta style as the early Philadelphia bottle companies like Washington Taylor. Shame you can't remember where you got it, because it could help narrow down some manufacturers from the early days. If you are in the US, then I'm almost certain it is from the Philadelphia area. I'm not a bottle expert, but I've had a crash course because I've found a bunch and I also used to own the house that was the original location of the old Daniel and Toy bottle company in Smyrna, DE. I got interested in the value of these things when some bottle guys knocked on my door one day wanting to dig in my yard. I let them and we found a bunch of nice pontil soda bottles worth about $100 a pop.

Your bottle has cool larger size mouth... I like it. Could been used more so for wine or even beer... Just a guess though. If I'm stumbling around town or the woods with a quart of liquor imma break the bottle I'd be so trashed, but who knows.

Sorry I updated it now not use to this site as of yet . I’m sure I’ll learn to navigate it soon enough. Ok so I live in Berks County however I believe bottle /flask was found up near carbon / schukyll . My brother used to dig privies I think I may have got it from him at least 10 or more years ago .
