Someone brought this into the museum today, and since I have no idea what it is I figured you guys might. have at it!

They found it in a winery field while planting grapevines, he wasn't sure what to do with it so he brought it here. Our museums collection is mostly from donated artifacts

I’d guess it was for a cask of wine, notice the little spoon like appendage to keep sediment from being dispensed. Just a guess
