Some more colonial relics,shakos,coins.

Didn't make a new post for a couple of weeks due to the combination of laziness and busy schedule. Managed to get out a few times since my last post with some cool relics and coins.

My favorite military relic came out of the ground in an absolutely horrible shape. I was almost certain that there's nothing to be done to fix it, to the point that I carried it in my car for a few days without even taking a second look. Luckily, with a help from a friend I managed to straighten it up and am very satisfied with the result.

My first ''Albert'' British shako from 1830's-1850's Here are the before and after pics





The center piece is missing but I have found an other piece a few weeks ago at the same spot. I doubt they went together but it does look pretty good.

Got an other anthropomorphic clay pipe. Only my second one in 5 years of detecting



Almost mint 1837 Lower Canada Halfpenny (Banque du Peuple type)

A few early civilian buttons (a bone back is the first one for me)

Fantastic finds and a superb job on the restoration of the shako. The last button with the holes in the back is a blow hole button and they were made in the 1700’s if I am not mistaken.

Way to go and keep swingin.

I like the lion head. It is similar to the the British sword belt clasp I found. I wonder if they are related some how

It's very possible. I never managed to positively ID those, I have a few of them.
