Metal Detecting
Metal detected the creek side woods again today. Managed to find an old Atlas mason jar lid, an old Illinois-Pacific Glass Co. bottle circa 1902-1909, a vintage Bevin Brothers Manufacturing Co 13 star US flag bicycle hand bell circa 1890-1910, an old horseshoe, an old lantern knob patented Feb. 17th, 1868, 2 pieces of old chain, an old hinge, an old skeleton key door entry part, an old ornate corner furniture bracket, and an old heavy iron base of some sort. If anyone can add any info on any of my finds please chime in-no pun intended. lol IMG_0808.webpIMG_0807.webpIMG_0793.webp IMG_0782 (2).webpIMG_0784.webpFullSizeRender (2).webpIMG_0789.webpView attachment 1293582View attachment 1293583IMG_0795.webpIMG_0796.webpIMG_0798.webpIMG_0799.webpIMG_0801.webpIMG_0802.webp

Check your lamp knob for a patent date and or a manufacturer mark, often these are overlooked.

Boy these TD pens show up everywhere:laughing7:

Thanks villagenut. Patented Feb17th, 1868. No maker.

Your bell(the dome shape with flag on it) is a bicycle bell cover/top.

Looks like your going to be busy for a while. Congrats on the finds:thumbsup:

Thanks releventchair. Any idea on how old the bell might be?

Nope.
Guessing the first half of the nineteen hundreds.
Found two or three similar online in pictures , but none the same.

There were also bike bells with a nut on top.
Not unlike your other dome shaped piece , which could be brass.

The Iron base piece is probably to an old wood stove?

Found the bell online. It is a Bevin Brothers Manufacturing Co. vintage US flag bicycle hand bell circa 1890-1910. IMG_0793.webpIMG_0808.webpIMG_0807.webpIMG_0806.webp
