Usually I get a 38 or 39 and turn them over and there is no mint mark and I just toss them into the pre-60 box but my last box was different. I found a 38 and lo and behold there was the missing D, then another and another until I began to expect to see a mint mark on every one and I wasn't disappointed. By the end of the box I had found 5 38D's and a 38S, 2 39S's and a 39D. Even found a 1980S proof, 1943S war nickel, and a 192- something Buffalo. Never had a box like that, must have been some discarded collection coins. They are in OK condition but not real good. Guess I need to go buy another book.
