Hello everyone so we found what we think to be a burned wagon around some of the 1830s trail and the soil was sand so the iron came out beautifully. I was wondering how old it could be or at least what this style of nail is called. Its different from any rose head I've found. You can see many flat lines run down the nail where the hammer hit and the heads flare out like a rose head but each one is bent over itself, to hold into the wood? Also found the work out spike and ring as well as a what is it piece. They show up every single time and I have no idea what wagon part they come from. Thanks for looking and any help! GL&HH :)
