Mrcctv,

Did the american indians ever make there arrow heads out of metal? When you look at the movies, it would seem as though the arrow heads are metal also there spear heads.

God bless

Yes Peter, they did often. Thank you root, for that link. The more modern day plains tribes, say from 1800AD to 1900AD, both traded for metal points, as well as mad them from scraps of iron they could find. Many were flattened and made from the iron metal bands used to hold wooden water barrels together. Check out these frames and you will see what I mean.

I live in loveland co and I have found two chip pits and about five ax heads. some fossils and arrowheads just a mile away from the sand hill massacre site. also lots of flint. i was walking in a field and this prairy dog had brought a extinct Fossil from a marine animal. I also have lots of obsidian arrow heads that were found on hunting ground in north california. all were shot and most are broken

DANG!.... that's a heck of a bunch of stuff!!

If you found all that accidentally, what all did you find with the detector?
