Nice group of finds and a wonderful display of bygones.

Keep Swinging...

Man, those are sweet toys. I think some are from the 1940s. More Americana pieces.

 I like your display and I especially like the motorcycle cop...it's real cool.
I had one as a kid(9yrs old)and it was twice the size, made of TIN and I had a key to wind it up.
It could zip across the floor :laughing9: (real cool) a few times before I had to insert my key again to get it wound back up. Thanks for including that. Seeing that display of yours has sparked one of my long lost and almost forgotten memories..... :notworthy: Thank you!

ya i think i had a tonka pretty close to that one! i like the bike best . cool toys. ;D willy

I wish I could actually display them so they would look good as they do not really go with the decor( so far I keep most of my finds in the basement ) and some of it seems to deteriorate as we speak . Going to go browse at other collections see if I can get an ideas. Vickilynn

That is a cool toy collection

Thanks all for looking I appreciated your comments .I am afraid I am failing in the preserving part as I had read somewhere I could use cooking oil So I brushed some them all lightly with a paint brush , I mostly created a mess ans the cast iron seems worse.I just read somewhere that someone uses beeswax on coins maybe that will work . All else fails spray em with poly LOL Vickilynn

That motorcycle w/rider is FANTASTIC!!!
What a great collection of toys. Thanks for the post.
