My girlfriend and i are going through a box of nickels we got that was dated 2009 on the top so we thought it'd be something good. dear god i need advice.

so far... less then half way through the box we've found maybe 20 dollars worth of nickels dated 1963 through 59 in perfect condition with a goldish hue to them.... im going nuts there are so many all mint marks but each one i've flipped has 5 steps on the building.

please respond with helpful answers on what i should do. keeping them or if theres a market because these are all in very high grade condition !

If you really want to know if the nickels are worth something see if they have full steps. If the steps are worn then the nickels are probably not worth much.

I would just keep one of each year and mint for your collection. And then maybe keep a roll of mixed dates and mints. Chances are people aren't going to pay you much for nickels unless they are war nickels, Buffaloes or older.

i've looked at almost all of them and majority have steps some 5 some 3 to 4

There are quite a few dates in the 60s that are scarce with 5 or more full steps (even when they were brand new they usually didn't have full steps because they were not well struck), so those would be the keepers.

definatly doing so man thanks for the info! :icon_pirat:
