What was to the bottom right of the second picture? I love how the dark material stands out.

That would be a Pickwick. I find mostly Ledbetter in my area so that one was special. Thanks Mike

Nice I’d love to go out and see those edges peeking out, been so dry here river hasn’t came up in like two years, nothing to reset the gravel bars or wash new artifacts in.

It’s always the same here. Summer too hot and buggy to walk creeks. Then when it finally cools off the leaves cover everything!😩

I find more in the winter than any other times of the year. Last year I was in the creek in 20 degree weather. I bought me some hand warmers for this winter. It’s tough sticking the hands in the freezing water.

This one is a good example of the Copena type I find in my area others look like Daltons but have a stack on one side. They don’t look like the ones you see as examples in the books

Creek hunting looks as tough as any hunting I do.
I could of gone today but yard work was needed. I still need to get a lite weight rake. The type that collapses on the rake end then the other end if it’s wood I’m adding a nail so I can use it as a multi purpose tool.
Leaves are dropping but so is the water level. Thanks
