As a heads up, your picture is out of focus. If it is sterling there should be some marks somewhere on the item. A closeup of those may allow someone on here to help Id.

It's more than hard for us to make out any letters, it's impossible with your out of focus photo, we can't make out even where the letters may be must less see them, also keep in mind we usually have to enlarge a photo to examine an item more closely and so in an out of focus photo the item become more out of focused when enlarged, it's much harder to examine something in a photo than it is with the item in your hand so highly focused photo is required!!
