Hello All,
This is my first time posting. I came across this sword while I was at my brothers house in Groveland, FL. He lives on about 10 acres of land and something made him want to start digging and he came across this sword and wants to know the history and possibly if it's worth anything. Any information you may have would be greatly appreciated.

How long would wood last buried in Florida soil?

It couldn't have been buried long. Probably played with and then lost.

He's lived there over 5 years now. So had to be out there way before that.
