Hello, I have been finding these rocks all over. Can you tell me what they maybe? There seems to be no reliable way here and it is frustrating. I live in a town where they have a place for people to pan for gold, yet they don't know how to identify it, or so they say. I am on a very limited, limited budget and I will not pay 350.00 for an online course on geology. I want hands on teaching. Anywho, do I have anything? Thank you from a tired from searching on the internet person.

bucket of rocks with quartz mixed it. Pretty to look at, lovely to hold, but very common.

All are correct in above comments.

Very unusual that the gold panning people didn't recognize quartz.
