something valuable or trash?

I have found this coin a long time ago. After a little research and input from others I was directed here to treasurenet. Someone tols me it was a escudo? I have no idea still what it is or if it's of any value at all. Anyone else here know the date of when this coin might be from, or anything else about it for that matter, please let me know. Thank you in advance.

The date is on the back. 708 = 1708. Looks like a Lima 8 escudo of which I just found 4 last week. I cannot certify that it is real without seeing it in person. The edges should have no cast marks and it should weight 27-28 grams. The gold should also be 22kt or it is a reproduction. Nice coin.

I believe it is cast. I could be wrong though, but im usually not.
