WRGS 1.webpI've never had much luck finding a complete drill. I found this broken one about a year ago up in the sandhills west of Broken Bow, Nebraska. It still made my day.

You still won. Half of what people here call heartbreakers are better than most of my best! It’s still a beauty!
 

I think most drills were broken during use anyway. That makes it double hard to find a whole one.
 

Hello, longtime it seems. West of BrokenB.. I’ve floated middle Loup a lot and have family from Sargent. I use to either end my trip or start a new one there. There is an old irrigation project there that caused a lot of paddling or walking ankle deep pulling everything along.
I have been slacking at picture taking and posting but I have only a few complete drill/awl punch pieces. I’ll get back to it soon.
That lithic is flattop and I would like more pics but it does look like an eden.

Any time you find an artifact, damaged or not from the Cody Complex it is a win-win find.
