Natural or not the boy has a good eye. Was not on the trip so no idea but outside in rock garden and made me go hmmmm? Couldn’t be more proud I guess. Lol.

I think he got a scraper too, not sure

My two cents. I’m not trying convince my son about this stuff, he picked up cool rocks off the beach brought them home and forgot about them. I could never be certain one way or another that the little bugger didn’t find an incised stone and don’t see how anyone else could be sure either way. The middle one is banded so increases the chances of use imo. The only change in cortex is a possibly pecked groove which would help the leverage when using the edge that while not sharp now could possibly have been. The claimed scraper has a fine edge all the way around and would still cut despite the time spent on the beach. I would only be surprised to hear that artifacts aren’t regularly pulled off the beaches of rye. The scraper I’m pretty sure on the other two no idea. Thanks for looking.

Usually an artifact looks like an artifact, if you have to squint or dot some lines, its probably a cool trick of mother nature.
