yes i pick up one in the circle, but the picture is to far off, the target could be several hundred yards without some close up picture. Scan_Pic0011 (Large).webp

Yellow X for the rock, yellow circles for raw gold.

down hill

Looks like gold may have rolled down hill from that ledge above?

Yes, gold has a way of moving down hills and slopes.....:goldcoin:

Altitude of closeup is about 200 feet above ground. Click on map to make bigger.

Hello, Newbie here to the sight. What are you looking for in the pictures? I have been dowsing sometime now. Have a very good teacher who has helped it along the way. I sure could see what my results are if you want to send the story or repost it?

Hello Coyote3,

Welcome to my humble thread. Here's the scoop:

I researched a story (I got a lot of stories I research.) about a stone, rock or boulder...take your choice that had rolled down hill. The stone was full of Au. Now that is a kind'a strange story. But I lean sometimes over on the strange side of cache hunting. I located the site and asked Red Desert and Teleprospector to take a peek at it. The tale is rather long so I PMed them. OkieDowser jumped in. Now it is getting fun. I suspect and RD appears to agree that my "Rolling Stone" just might have resided in the ledge just above it at one time. OD asked for a closer view and I posted one. So there you are.......the short version of "Rolling Stone".

It was a boulder that was found/lost once, rolled down off a ledge or outcrop containing gold. Since then the gold filled rock has moved (rolled) farther away from the source. People may have helped move it along too. Apparently must be too large to take home.

Ahh-hh! May I always find gold filled rocks that are too big to take home.

Hee-hee! I will find a way, trust me! Now, if it will just stop moving.

Hi PrariePup,
Dowsing revealed....
ABB green line area: Gold outcrops
Green arrows: Direction of gold erosion/disbursement from outcrop...lots of micron gold, maybe small nuggets.
ABB red line area: Openings/voids
Green square area: Prominent gold attraction, possibly a pocket.
Green circle area: Boulder containing gold.
Thanks for posting your picture,
Jon

TP,

Awesome info! Now to find a cooperative mountain goat, a cart and an a-frame hoist.
