I think I’ve asked before but I don’t remember if anyone knew, any ideas why so many Florida/Georgia points are so broad compared to everywhere else?
 
I would love yo go looking for points, here in the northeast they are rare

I was told once it’s due to the size of the material they had to choose from. Once in a while I find something over 2 inches but not very often cause the larger stones just aren’t available. South Georgia has Coastal Plains chert in big nodules. Black chert smaller.
