I’d like to find some local “diggin’ buddies”. I live in Charlestown, Indiana (near Louisville, KY) and would even be interested in helping to form some kind of local club for our hobby. There are no clubs near this area. I will even volunteer my home or my business as a meeting place for members. If anyone is interested, let me know.

I'm in Lanesville IN. Just retired last August and bought a new detector a couple of months ago. Haven't done a lot yet since it has been so hot but hope to do more this fall. Lets see if we get any more interest. There was a group around here years back but have pretty much died out. Would be interested in club if we find enough interest.

That sounds great. I’m still relatively new to the hobby, but I’m hooked. I just got a CTX 3030 and on my first time out with it I found a Large Matron Head Cent. I plan on going back out tomorrow (temperature is supposed to be nice). You’re welcome to join me.

Hey there, Callred1975.
Nice work btw.

Thanks CT. You live in southern Indiana?

Callred1975, I'm not in your area to metal detect with you. I have chatted with some people down around the Madison area. I will say I'd like to see some of the stuff you find (Matron Head). I post my things in Indiana finds. I've gotten out a couple times lately, all I'm finding is clad and other things. I'll put together somethings and make a post soon. I'm always interested to see what other Hoosiers are finding. Have a couple months left before the crops come out and it's killing me lol. GL & HH. SD

Glad to hear from you SD. I know what you mean. There are a couple of large farms I have permission to hunt that have significant historical value. I can’t wait until harvest so I can get out in the fields to start digging.

Count me in!!! My office is in Louisville but I live an hour north and have all kinds of places to hunt. I'm also getting some permissions here. ERIK....

Great Erik! The more the merrier. We’ll have enough people to start a local club soon. I love going out digging with my CTX by myself, but having some others interested in the hobby to go with would be much better. Talk to ya later.

I met another local digger while hunting the town square in Charlestown, IN. We now have 4 local diggers in southern Indiana.

No, sir; central Kentucky :)
When I get shoreleave from my lovely schookems, I'll make my way up that way...

Count me in to ! I'm a bit west of you all but I'd trave l for a good hunt.

Glad to hear it Herbie

I live in jeffersonville and would like to play. A club would be great. Keith

Hey all. I spoke with fishstick and he led me here. I live in Crestwood just outside Louisville and would have interest in a club as well. Just got into the hobby a few months back, but I've got all my gear now and would love to get out more often. Just let me know!

I live in Ann Arbor I would travel a few hours to be in a club Tommy

I'm looking for a club also same area

Any updates on how this club is coming along? Seems like activity on the Indiana and Kentucky boards on here are slow with activity. Just wondering if there's just not much interest in the hobby in this area? Let me know how things are going!

I must warn you I am 45 but very green with metal detecting but I just live up the road from Charelstown in Memphis so if you ever want or need someone to tag along (I’d be thrilled just to learn) then let me know. Btw I live on my wife’s 400 acre farm which has been in her family for 175 years so if you think there is places here you’d like to ck out we can do that too. I’ll give you my cell. Text is best because if I know me I’ll forget to ck this site regularly.
Thanks a lot in advance. Regards. Mike

Sorry. Newbie here
