Oh boy... I'm not able to wrap my mind around all of that.

bison effigy?

My uncle has a place in Silver City NM. I love it out there.
there must have been much more water or springs in some of those areas where natives lived for so long, because it's dry!

Amazing collection I'm assuming passed down from family?

Bears there are 2 there were bison this far south because they find a very few bones in sites. Mimbres and later Mogollon peoples made bears.

That is an amazing collection! I'm sure I speak for others when I ask you to please post more pictures of some of your best points & effigys, axes, etc. We would love to view them up close. Any history on them would be appreciated. Thanks

I will post more photos after work. History of the collection is most are personal finds by me and my wife in southern New Mexico and West Texas. I bought one collection off a old buddy who needed teeth years back and kept part and the pottery was bought at auction or from local guys I know.

Dougs Collection = :icon_thumright:

Thanks for sharing it!

Zooming in on the bead picture. Those are awesome. Man I haven't heard of someone finding a bead in a long time.... unless I missed it

you have a bit of everything. Nice collection of habitation site stuff. I would think twice about posting such stuff unless you can document they were all legally found on private land. ... just saying

All my stuff is cool, I have had visits before. They left unhappy. A lot of my stuff has been studied recently. Harvard is working on Turquoise and parrots and some others are writing up cruciforms. Just got my copper stuff back from Florida were WNM sent it ti get analyzed.

awesome! i have some of my stuff analyzed too... makes all the difference.

Impressive collect!

I could hunt the best site I have everyday for the rest of my life and not find anything as nice as what you have. What are the small 4 pointed pieces in the frame?

Cruciforms.. Only found in a small area of southern New Mexico and Chihuahua. Archaic artifact.
