Sov GT - 8 inch Slimline versus 10 inch

ya get about 2" more coverage and about 2" more depth with the 10"...but the 8" is a little better to pin point with and better target seperation and a bit lighter.

Ditto what Dixie said. The amout of coverage is more important than depth to me as it means I don't have to over lap as much to cover the ground at depth.

THX, that's what i thought. I'm sticking with the 10 inch for now.

Sov GT and WOT coil are a great combination if you are not hunting a trashy area....15 inch DD gives you depth and coversge. :icon_thumright:

I am using the S-12 Intruder coil on my Sov.GT and i find it just a little bit lighter then the 10 inch Tornado stock coil to swing , plus i get great coverage and depth i don't worry about pin pointing with that coil its not necessary , great machine and coil in the fields :headbang: Jim

Jim is correct, my backup/loaner water detector is another Excal and I have spiced on a S-12 Intruder coil on it......
