Has anyone attached by use of silicone, goop etc their coil cover to the coil to keep sand etc from creating false signals?

Thanks for replying.
Are you beach hunting? You can use spray on plasi-dip like you use on tool handles. It works and will not void your warranty, it can be removed if needed to send in to manufacturer.....

Don't need to use coil cover that way if hunting water

Thanks TH. I'm 90% in the salt water or wet sand. I'll try the plastic dip.

I don't recommend it. No matter how good you initially seal it, the moisture and sand/dirt always seem to get inside anyway. Just pull off the cover and clean it when it starts to false on you.

Just to be clear, I did not mean to put plas-dip on the coil cover, you put it on the coil, no coil cover..

Thanks guys. Think I'll just leave well enough alone for now.
