I found this a couple of months ago in a dry creek bed. I was chasing a can and dug down about 14" when I came across this. Of course the can was only about 4" deep and 6" off center.
Never found any Indian artifacts and was wondering if any of you guys know what it is?
Also posted on the Indian Artifacts forum but thought I would show it here as well.

Can't get a good idea of the edges from the pic, appears there may have been fluting at the base. If this is a spearpoint that has been tumbled down through the ages best guess might be early archaic, perhaps clovis.
Could also be a rock that has been roughly shaped like a spearpoint over the many years in the water there.

Hope someone on the other board can give you a better idea, it would be cool if it's clovis. 12,000 years old!

Post it on the Whats it Forum ?........They might give a better Clue.....HH
