Spears? Leaves? Odd find from 20 years ago....

Never did find out what this thing is. From the look of the round spot on the back, it was attached to something. It's hard to see because the resolution on my phone's camera is not all that great, but the background is covered with a crisscross or cross-hatched design.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Take the picture outside in daylight will be much better. Also back up a little and crop if your celphon camera cannot focus up close. Watch the shadows.
