Spectra V3i prospecting mode

Hello
I have a V3I and I have no clue. Its a superadvanced piece of hightec gear for a starter like myself.. :P

I was thinking if anyone have some information, and tips for me regarding the prospecting mode. I have bought myself a small coil (6x4) shooter coil. And I was thinking on trying to prospect with it. The biggest chance of finding gold here is the fine gold... :/
Also I have looked on youtube. The desert detecting in Australia and some in USA. Is it the same for norway ? We dont have deserts, but we have forrests. :O

Hope someone have some good tips for me :-)

If its super fine gold that's most plentiful then a sluice will be your best bet, if you looking for small pickers and nuggets that are super small a dedicated gold detector will be your best bet. I would get a pan to look for gold and then when you locate a good spot use a sluice to process the material faster, then take the cons home to pan at your leisure. HH

Thanks for the info. But the prospecting mode is for locatinh the mineralization in the ground .

I to have the v3i thing is awesome though I havent used that coil im stuck on my sef coils 6x8 & the 10x12 I came across a book u can either download to ur computer or just read it online its very informative & covers all bases its kinda like the manual just 10x's better & lets u understand it the way the manual should have been writen just ah google whites v3i Advanced posts book it was put together by users so those WHO do use this great detector will know exactly whats being said good luck Hh
