SPIKE in Silver Prices

Does anyone know the reason for the recent SPIKE in silver prices over the last few weeks? There has not been any global earth shaking news for the big jump, unless I missed something. Comments.

Overall devaluation of the dollar, which has lost 10% of it's purchasing power in the last 6 months.
Silver's value, or 'price', hasn't changed.
The amount of fiat $ needed to purchase it, has.

besides the dollar losing value, there has been a shedding of US assets by foreign investors.
Gold is up also, may/may not have anything to do with Indian wedding season.....
Wondering, if this is the start of a long term uptick......

Maybe this is the beginning of the rumor of $100 silver, which started about two years ago. My wife said she heard around the same time of rumors of $1000/oz, but I told her it will never happen in our lifetime (but yet I'm age 70 already, so not much longer to wait).

I hate to think what even $100 silver would do to the cost of IPhones and solar panels, not to mention everything else electronic. But, do I really care?

im pretty sure it was due to Harvey which also spiked gas. i watched it as Harvey approached and sure enough, silver rose.
