SPOON FOUND!

Here's todays find found in a small patch of grass behind a business by my house.

It's a Rogers Bros silver plated spoon (circa 1847 - 1897) in Newport stlye.

Haven't found the exact date this style was made in yet but I know it's between the above because in 1898 they became part of the International silver co. and from then on, all of their flatware was marked accordingly.

Personally, I don't care where I hunt it seems like I find at least one spoon. But what the heck--they're cool!

Great spoon! They dont make em like that anymore! I think thats the only way to get silverware thats made in the U.S ya have to dig it up! I recently found my first old silver spoon and cant wait to find another. Great find, good luck on your next hunt

Nice Find. Don't hold me to it but I would say the spoon is worth $25-$35.
