My question is dose anyone hunt the main playing field, I only do the side lines where parent would sit. Some times you can really clean up. 3 weeks ago I got 14 quarters in one place 2 piles 3 foot apart. a few weeks before. 19 qt and 22 dimes on one side of a football field.

not quite as good today 8 qt, 15 dimes, 2 n and 21p. one small silver ring stone is gone. But grate day,

I have read many posts here on Tnet about some really great finds on soccor fields. We have acres and acres of soccer fields available for me to hunt but I have really never found anything but some clad! Maybe I'm too impatient as it takes a lot of time to cover a soccer field? Monty

Monty...Up until yesterday, I had to completely agree with you. But then, for lack of a better place for some action, I found myself at a relatively new soccer field just outside Clarksville, TN. Recovered 38 newer coins, a cell phone, a sterling baby's earring & four (4) rings in about 1.5 hours.

Gonna have to rethink my destinations somewhat.
