13 Roman Coins today in a 5 hour 15 min solo hunt. (Thanks to Land-Mag Taxi's) It's not unlucky for me but unlucky to the farmer who had such bad Black-grass it swamped his oil-seed rape & he had to spread it all off. It's now died back real good. Also, it's too late to re-drill another crop, so we have this good Roman Site until harvest.

Got 2 nice Roman Coins; 1 Probus of a type I need.:icon_thumright:
RIC 480, P, starProbus AE Antoninianus. Ticinum mint, 281 AD. IMP C PROBVS AVG, radiate bust left, wearing imperial mantle and holding eagle-tipped sceptre / CONCORD MILIT, Concordia standing left holding two standards, E in left field, star in right field, mintmark PXXI.
1 Silver Washed bust up coin, a near miss on a silver....
Roman Bronze Hollow fitting - Unknown use? It narrows....Maybe furniture or staff??
2 Roman Nails - Slow day so kept the best ones....
2 Iron/Steel mystery farm machinery bits? Picture 1 shows all the pieces I have found in the past, all from this 1 field!

Bad for the farmer, lucky for you! Nice Probus with a more rare reverse. :icon_thumright: Cool big nail too but no idea with the saw teeth iron...

You're a metal detecting machine Crusader! As always, great finds. The two Roman nails are quite interesting. Well done.

They had a good square shape to them, so kept them, plus to make up the pictures a little.

The conditions are perfect, had rain this morning. Some coins were pretty deep & the hollow bronze item was a terrible scratchy signal with no numbers & was easily over 12 inches.

Congrats on some sweet finds! :occasion14:
Good variety of goodies. I like the mystery parts! Crazy to wonder what they were.
Good day hunting for you!
