I'm going on vacation to Springfield, Mo and was wondering if anyone knew of any good spots to metal detect around there? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Springfield is a little far for me, but if you scroll down the forumn a little further there is an area for Discussion by Location. Post this under Missouri and you may get more results.

I grew up on Clay street near Central High in the late sixties....This is when I noticed a man digging around in the parks....My first exposure to Metal detectors...still some great areas to check should be there after all these years ....the confederates and Yankees were in and out of Springfield constantly as were notable western characters. I have been hunting since 1983/4 but never made it back there....good luck
